A possible cause of the 502 Bad Gateway Error is server overload. It's a temporary problem. In technical terms, it is generic that no one can easily identify the website's exact issue and it can happen to any website.
In the case of myHR, this error can cause delays in your workflow especially at the time when you need it most.
If the 502 Bad Gateway Error happens, here's what you (as a user) can quickly do to resolve it. We highly recommend that you take the following steps first to ensure that this is actually a major error and not just a blip.
1. Wait a minute or two. Then, refresh/reload the page.
If the page loads with no error, this might have been a temporary connection problem. If it continues, proceed to Step
2. Close all open browser windows (especially the ones that are for myHR) and start a new session.
3. Clear your cache and delete your cookies. Refresh it once more.
Usually, by Step 3, it should already be working properly.
If not, continue to Step 4.
4. Start your browser in Safe Mode.
5. Try a different type of browser. For myHR, it works best on Google Chrome, but it will also work fine with Microsoft Edge.
6. Last but not least, restart your computer/device.
If the error persists, this is the best time to raise a support ticket to the Helpdesk and indicate what you have already done so we can pick up on what you've narrowed down.
From this point, we can conduct a better investigation in the back end (i.e. DNS server, firewall configurations, codes, and other areas).
